The Department of Culture of Jumilla, through the Public Library, will celebrate World Book Day with the completion of various activities that revolve around the figure of Miguel Hernández.
It takes place on Friday April 23 and activities will be a tribute to the poet Orihuela, to mark the centenary of his birth, as reported by Councilwoman Joan Guardiola.
Thus, from 10 am local students will have a literary meeting focused on the poet Miguel Hernández with author Consuelo Jiménez Cisneros.
After 18 hours begin a reading marathon, which involved young and old, to read the book "The whistle of the dale" an anthology of poems Orihuela.
Upon completion, participants will receive a free copy of the book.
At 19.30 had planned a conference Tarres Miguel Hernández, godson of the poet, unpublished poems and experiences with the poet, who has had to be suspended for personal reasons, which comes on at 20:00 hours the Musical Poetry Recital entitled 'Singing to Miguel Hernández' in charge of the Cultural Association Vientos del Pueblo.
This will be done in the classroom CAM Culture and sponsored by the Editorial Edelvives.
