This is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Equality and businesses that want to apply this label must have a memory that will reveal the practices of the institution in terms of equality.

The call for the application of Equality in the Company for the year 2010, is now open after its publication in the Official Gazette.
With this stamp, the Ministry of Gender Equality aims to distinguish and recognize companies that stand out for their good practice in equal treatment and opportunities between women and men.
The deadline for submission of applications is two months until 10 June.
Then the Ministry of Gender will have six months to assess applications.
Companies wishing to apply for the badge, must submit a report that will reveal the practices of the institution in terms of equality.
Among other things, aspects will be assessed and a detailed analysis of staff, status and evolution of levels of responsibility and categories, the presence of groups with little access to employment: more than 45 years, victims of domestic violence and people with disabilities and situation analysis and equality measures in place.
The Equality in the Company may be used in commercial traffic of the business and advertising purposes, as embodied in the Royal Decree 1615/2009 of 26 October, regulating the provision and use of this distinction.
Also possession of the mark will be assessed against the award of contracts with the government as the terms and conditions provided in the LOI.
This seal of equality will be valid for three years, although the entities to be granted will have the obligation to submit to the Directorate General for Employment Equity (unit investigating the procedure of the Ministry of Equality), a report annually to demonstrate that maintain excellence in equality.
Interested institutions may be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Equal Annexes to complete the application, as well as a helpful guide to such completion.

This annual competition, the Ministry of Equality seeks to add a new incentive to companies to continue to obtain achievements on the path of equality between women and men in the workplace.
