The procession of the Risen put an end to a Holy Week that has stood for great public attendance (06/04/2010)

After a few days, it's time to assessment of past Holy Week in Jumilla.

The Procession of the Risen Jesus put an end to a week of passion that has stood for great crowds.

Although there has been a crisis situation that is going through, especially in the fall of penitents, the weather was good for the people onto the streets to witness the events and processions, activities, all of which were developed under expected.

From the Central Board of the Brotherhood, the Public Relations Cayetano Smith has indicated that it "has been a great Holy Week processions in the time and involvement of fraternities and the general public."

Smith has emphasized the "share of the new Guardian Brotherhood of the Body of Christ, in the Procession of the Holy Sabbath Redemption was met with success, showing that it becomes part of the traditional processions of Jumilla calendar" .

On this important celebration of Jumilla, the mayor Francisco Abellán has stated that "despite the situation we live, has been a Holy Week with the dignity and delivery by all, which we used to."

Abellán also said that "fortunately the weather has been accompanied, which Jumillano and visitors have been active and has also been a good organization."

For his part, Councilman Celebrations Ildefonso Jimenez thanked "the participation of not only guilds, fraternities, bands and people involved in the organization, but the public has seen both massive processions as to all acts."

Jimenez, at the suggestion, "recommends to the Central Board for the future, coordinate a little different sororities that participate in Holy Thursday evening with manolas."

Jumilla Holy Week procession ended with the Risen Jesus walked from the Plaza Canovas Roll up the high street Steps.

Felt was appropriate to fill the new Holy Saturday procession, as it was a day when there were no parades Jumilla passion.

Good Friday processions were held Entombment at night, with the participation of 16 images and, in the morning, the procession of Calvary by which also involved a total of 16 images.

Holy Thursday Jumilla streets were the scene of the procession of Bitterness and before the traditional parade of Manolo, where the fraternities, accompanied by marching bands, marching with their banners and manolas, visiting the Sacred Monuments installed in churches and chapels.

On Wednesday afternoon there was the traditional representation of the Arrest, a sacramental of eight paintings and fifteen scenes that give life to a group of 18 players.

At night, the Procession was held ON.

Moreover, during these days have developed other religious and cultural events, including several concerts featuring music bands of Jumilla: Julian Santos and Friends of Music, as well as processions and shuttles of different images and Santos Crafts.
