On Thursday March 25 opening of the exhibition 'Faces of Passion' Craftsman Jumillano José López Abarca.
The event was attended by dozens of artisans and crafts Councilman Ildefonso Jimenez and the president of the Association of Artisans of Jumilla Mari Carmen Herrero.
The sample is in the Artisan's House, on Calle del Rico, and can be considered during this Easter.
The exhibition is organized by the Department of Crafts and Craftsmen Association of Jumilla and in it the author José López Abarca recreates images of our Easter through meticulous compositions of gold and silver threads on wood.
It is a curious and surprising exhibition that you can see some of the faces of the imagery of this religious festival, as the Christ of the Column, The Sorrows of Nazareth, the Christ of the Judgement, the Prendido Christ Life, the Christ of Mercy or the Ecce Homo, including
A total of fifteen paintings and as declared by the artisan "are the product of nearly two years of work."
In each work spends about two months and are made with photographs, which draws the sketch and then goes wire to wire sticking to the result.
Visiting hours are Tuesday through Saturday: 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00 hours, holidays will be closed.
