This morning was presented by the Institute of Wine Culture (ICV), a body that seeks social advancement of all it means the world of wine and region to raise awareness among all peoples that make up the Denomination of Origin Jumilla: Montealegre del Castillo, Fuenteálamo, Ontur, Hellin, Albatana, Tobarra and Jumilla, where the headquarters.
The presentation, which took place at the headquarters of the Association of Journalists of Murcia, has been made by the president of this body Emiliano Hernandez and several members of the Board of the institute.
The ICV has the backing of the Council of the Designation of Origin Jumilla and the town council.
In fact the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán is the No. 1 honorary member.
It is also an honorary member Professor Jumillano Guzman Ortuño, who is also honorary president of the DO Jumilla.
The ICV's main purpose is to promote and bring to society the culture of wine, and all it represents, and to create awareness among all district municipalities of the Jumilla DO in order to strengthen the historical ties that bind these populations, but also revolve around wine.
To this end, the Institute for Wine Culture and has scheduled a series of cultural activities will be developed in the near future.
On Monday March 1 will be conducting a course with students of Enology Center Experience and Training Integrated Agricultural Jumilla (CIFE).
Through this course, students will introduce them in what was' The Wine in Antiquity ', with a talk, a visit to the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Jumilla and a "Wine Tasting in the Greek', using reproductions dishes to the ancient Greeks used in such acts.
Also in April, will develop a 'Statement of bottles of wine with special labels and some old'.
For this they are collecting bottles from private collections and warehouses in the different municipalities.
This sample could be traveling between the towns of Jumilla.
In addition, coinciding with the celebration of XVI Wine Quality Competition on Thursday April 15 will hold a conference on 'How has tried the wine in the press and general?'.
Be given by journalists and members of the Association of Journalists, John Thomas and Reyes Paredes, and a veteran journalist in the world of wine.
Also has scheduled several publications about wine culture and its different aspects and activities with children and young people, including a tasting wine.
Throughout the year, will also develop a conference on pairing wine with cuisine, Painting, Music and Fine Arts.
