The City Council has signed an agreement with the School of Physiotherapy Murcia Jumilla Half Marathon will be the 25th of April.
Through this agreement, 30 students of this school will receive a course before the race from the hand of university professors and test day will offer massages for all runners who need it, with six monitors.
As reported by the Councillor for Sports, José Luis Monreal, the arrangement has been made possible by the efforts of the Department of Sports and Antonio Lozano Jumillano Professor of Physiotherapy Head of the Public University of Murcia.
In this way, the students are going to teach an accredited course during the week prior to the Half Marathon and the test day these students will move to Jumilla for practices with runners in need of their services both before after the race.
Also, through the University will install a mini fair with a number of booths of products and items related to Medicine and Physiotherapy, in relation to sportswear, footwear and podiatry, massage and clothing material fisiodeportivas, among others.
Councilman Sports has noted that "with this agreement, the Half Marathon race is equated Jumillano like Albacete and Elche, which gives us a more quality and health requirements for participants and fans."
Monreal added that it was "pleased that, through the Public University and through the interest of Antonio Lozano, this agreement we have reached can be maintained over the years, so from here I want to express my gratitude to the institution and the teacher. "
The last year has already reached an agreement with physiotherapy clinics in the town to cover the Half Marathon "City of Jumilla."
Thanks to him, the athletes were provided with massages, as well as stretchers and all necessary equipment in rooms fitted out in the Municipal Heated pool.
This service is maintained for what, in this edition, we will set up a tent in front of the pool facilities.
