This afternoon, the Ministry of the Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba and the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán Martínez, have signed a collaboration agreement for the construction of new headquarters in the city.

From this signature, the City Council approve the specifications and administrative techniques to select the company or group of companies to execute the construction work of the civil guard barracks, in exchange for, upon completion of the work, present site where is located the headquarters of the civil guard, on Avenida de la Asunción.
The new Civil Guard barracks would be built on a plot of over 4,000 municipal square meters bordering on the south by Avenue Christ Tied to the Column and the West San Augustine Street.
The building will cost over 3 billion euros.
The City Council has given this site to the Ministry and after construction, the Ministry issued the building of the old building, so that the new headquarters will have no cost to the municipal coffers, or for Jumillano.
According to the document, the program will be developed through the construction of two separate units, one for government agencies and other residential area.
It proposes the construction of a building symbolic and representative of the body, modern and functional building, which is linked to the parade ground.

On the first floor would costumes for male and female staff with two different areas.
The basement or crawl space would be for a garage, storage rooms and facilities.
Finally the top job would consist of hallway, bathroom doors with armored armorer, Office of Post Commander Officer, Office of errands, office assistance to women victims of violence and juvenile detainees File area.
Furthermore, this complex will have a residential building that includes 4 apartments and 21 single houses with a number of parking spaces equal to or greater than the number of homes.
