On Tuesday 1 December is World AIDS Day.
For this reason, the Youth Council of the City of Jumilla, with the Youth Council of the Region of Murcia, has developed an information campaign about measures to prevent infection.
This campaign will consist of the placement, the 1st and 2nd December in the morning and afternoon, a table outside Informajoven Center, located in Plaza del Rey Don Pedro.
Information in these tables will be distributed promotional materials (bookmarks, postcards, brochures, guides, etc..) And 150 male condoms.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said on World AIDS Day on 1 st December 1998 and expressed deep concern that acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) had become pandemic proportions.
Every minute a child dies of AIDS.
Currently, over 41 million people are affected by HIV / AIDS.
Combat HIV / AIDS, malaria and other diseases is one of the objectives of the UN Development Goals.
By 2015, all 191 UN Member States have pledged to meet these objectives.
