Last week the City Council met Festivities.
One of the decisions taken was that of the dates of the holidays of August 2010, which will be from 12 to 22, according to the unanimous agreement of those present, as confirmed by the council of Celebration Ildefonso Jimenez.
The meeting was attended by about 30 people, all members of local groups and representatives of different groups and associations of Jumilla.
In Celebration City Council also discussed the activities of Christmas, which will be presented shortly and inaugurated on December 11 with the lighting of Christmas lights.
Another issue discussed was to report on the establishment of a Twinning Committee with the Italian town of Comiso in Sicily, adopted in plenary.
The commission shall consist of the mayor, the spokespersons of the three groups municipal councilors Citizenship and Tourism, the City Clerk and Municipal Council members of Celebration.
Ildefonso Jimenez explained Councilman Celebrations and Citizenship, the intent of this twinning is "networking between European citizens, and share experiences and goals."
Finally we talked about the upcoming celebration of a workshop in the village of Torre del Jumillano Rico, on which is not yet set the date.
