Four writers staged a poetry reading with some of the poems in the Literary Award winners' Ciudad de Jumilla ".
The event, entitled '30 years of poetry ', took place last Friday in the CAM and was attended by José María Ibáñez Guardiola, who won in 1999 and 2003 (with' Heritage 'and' Tribute ', respectively), Salvador Moreno Perez, who won the prize in 2000 with his work 'Light and Dark' Pedro Javier Martínez Martínez, winner in 2008 with the verse 'Songs for rainy afternoons' and the winner of last year, Francisco Javier Ruiz Taboada with his work 'Swell'.
The concert, presented by journalist María José Hernández, is part of the activities commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of this call literary.
Throughout the event, projected images of thirty years of the Literary Prize "City of Jumilla ', which showed moments of the awards and some of the personalities who have presided over the award this time, as Luis Carandell, Diego Carcedo, Regás Rosa, Carmen Posadas, Tico Medina, Joaquín legion, Eduardo Sotillos, Ramon Almeda and Francisco Javier Díez de Revenga, among many others.
The event is closed Councilwoman Joan Guardiola Culture thanked the participation of writers in this show and announced the name of the person who shall act as Chairman XXXI Literary Award and will be Lorenzo Silva, a writer and studied law at the Complutense University Madrid.
He has written stories, articles and literary essays but is best known for his novels.
One of them, 'The Impatient Alchemist', won the Premio Nadal in 2000.
Another of his works, 'The Weakness of the Bolshevik' was a finalist for the Premio Nadal 1997 and has been adapted to film by Manuel Martin Cuenca.
Finally, Guardiola was presented to participants a few drawings from the artist Jumillano Miñano Peace.
