Agriculture Councilman Jesus Sanchez has made an assessment of the rains in recent days in Jumilla.
Sanchez said that "this rain can delay the harvest in Jumilla, since in many areas already being harvested grapes and are forced to discontinue this work."
The councilman added that "if it continues raining it runs the risk of fruit rot."
He also noted that "of course it never rains please everyone, but this water is generally good for land and crops, like olives."
As for the amount of rainfall from Saturday through Tuesday, has varied widely in different areas of the municipality.
Where more water has been collected in the village, where, in total, the rain has downloaded about 35 liters per square meter in areas like Las Encebras and Roman between 12 and 14 liters of Jewish Cañada between 5 and 6 liters per square meter and in the northern town between 2 and 3 liters.
Jesus Sanchez added that "fortunately no hail fell, and infrastructure and access roads have been affected."
As for the outlook for the coming days, they point to precipitation with high probability for Thursday (77%) that will subside in the middle and low in the coming days and will cause the skies are covered until at least next Monday 21 September.
Temperatures will continue without major changes, with minimum of about 14 ° and maximum at around 24-25 degrees.
