Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán and Celebrations Councilman Ildefonso Jimenez publicly presented the program of events of the Fair and Festival 2009 and the blog created on the occasion of the celebrations of August under the name 'Jumilla in feasts.
The festivities will begin on Thursday, August 13 and last until Sunday 23.
During these days there will be many activities organized by the City along with the National Folk Festival, the Federation of Peñas the Harvest Festival, the Patron Guild and Association of Moors and Christians.
The Mayor reported that this year the budget has been reduced by about 50%, leaving the figure of 135,000 euros.
"This cut has affected mainly to the musical, which this year will star Murcia and artist groups Melendi, however, the decline has not affected the festive collective subsidies, which are maintained," said Abellán .
Francisco Abellán has stated that these parties, which have been prepared from the council of Celebration, along with festive groups and different councils, aims at "total fun, full and less financial outlay.

And as music is concerned, the main novelty is the fusion of the festivals 'Jumillita' and 'Red Rock', which will offer several performances on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 local artists and Melendi.

Ildefonso Jimenez added that "we want the center of recreational activity during the ten days of the fair."
