A total of fifteen people from different nationalities, have attended a workshop recently developed and included in the cooperation agreement signed between the Department of Social Policy of the City of Jumilla and Red Cross.
These workshops are part of the Program Office for Attention to Immigrants Red Cross.
One has been on Social Skills and one on self-esteem.
Both facilities have developed in the Red Cross and have been offered by psychologist Salar Inma Training Department Jumilla Red Cross.
With Social Skills Workshop is intended to promote the acquisition of habits and attitudes that promote personal and social development and interpersonal relationships.
This workshop addressed issues such as the 'Concept and usefulness of social skills', 'Social Skills Training', 'Emotions, feelings and thoughts', 'Make and receive praise', 'Coping with Conflict' and 'Communication' .
Regarding the Self-Esteem Workshop topics have been the 'Concept of Self-Esteem', 'How do you create and destroy self-esteem "and" Relaxation Techniques', among others.
The objective of this activity has been to develop self-esteem, providing elements for people to be able to develop and take into account those aspects that can influence the decrease of the same.
The councilman of Social Policy Mariana Gómez has rated as "very positive that these activities and they promote the integration of immigrants in the town, working the basic socialization skills."
Gomez added that "under the agreement with the Red Cross, the issue of training is one of the pillars, which will continue conducting such workshops throughout the year."
