Last Friday, we proceeded to the signing of a cooperation agreement between the city of Jumilla and the Central Board of the Brotherhood of Holy Week amounting to 109,000 euros.
It is the first time that a convention for this purpose, as before, while collaboration was also reflected this as a subsidy.
At the signing ceremony attended by Mayor Francisco Abellán, Jose Carrion, as chairman Central Board of Brotherhoods of Semana Santa (JCHSS) and the Councillor for Tourism and Culture Juana Guardiola and Celebrations Councilman Ildefonso Jimenez.
Both Francisco Abellán and José Carrión agreed that this agreement shows the commitment of both institutions Easter Jumilla.
Abellán said "this is a very important contribution that puts us above most municipalities in the region, except Murcia and Cartagena, as well as municipalities such as Valladolid, Salamanca and Leon, cities that are home for Easter" .

Carrion said "a journey together toward a common destiny that is Easter, this forces us and commits us to achieve many more goals."
In terms of economic contribution JCHSS president said, "is significant and in line with other years, although it is true that there is a decline but I think it is undoubtedly a result of current conditions lives, that the board can not be alien to it, and be at the height of the circumstances. "

The deal has been agreed between the parties, through the Department of Culture and Celebrations.
Thus, from Jubilee is assumed economic value 66,600 euros, as well as some musical performances Canticorum Choir, the Band of the Association Julian Santos, Jumillano Band Friends of Music, the payment of the Banda Jesus Nazareno de Calasparra and is sponsoring the installation of sound to the Stations of the Cross, among others.
