On Tuesday, Councilwoman Mariana Gómez Social Policy concluded the first workshop for carers of dependent persons developed in 2009.
The workshop was attended by some 40 people, has lasted 15 hours and has been taught by Rafael Valero, Jumilla Red Cross nurse, thanks to this collective agreement is signed with the Department.
The assessment has made Mariana Gomez is completely positive "in that participation was very high, and the use of it."
Gomez added that as the students said "this workshop will have fallen short, which raised the possibility of expanding the number of hours for courses and try to come more in depth topics such as Parkinson's and on the mobilization of dependents ".
The councilman of Social Policy accepted this proposal and consider the possibility of expanding the shop 5 or 6 hours in future editions.
It is anticipated that the next workshops are conducted before the summer to the next and the other in September or October.
The purpose of these workshops is to "collaborate in the development of the Law Unit and train people who care for dependents so that they have a decent quality of life," said Mariana Gomez.
All participants were presented with a diploma certifying their attendance.
