The Councillor for Education of the City of Jumilla Fuensanta Olivares was in charge of closing Reading the seminar organized by the Family and School Council for the Region of Murcia and this council and has held in recent months in Jumilla.
In the fourth and final session of the seminar included the conference by the writer Azorín Pura.
Fuensanta Olivares made a very positive assessment of the four sessions of the seminar.
The councilman said "that after this seminar we found that there is a world behind the world of literature, a world to discover not only where we have to input these reading habits in children, but even in those adults who have not yet discovered the exciting world of reading. "These seminars are intended to meet the objective" of the entire population to a greater or lesser extent, is a reading population, "said Olivares.

Azorín Pura said that 45% of the people in the Region of Murcia never read anything.
Following the conference of Pure Azorín, Fuensanta Olivares gave out certificates to all attendees of this seminar.
In this seminar, other talks have taken place, by Professor Aurora Gil Bohórquez with the title "Reading: A real pleasure."
Previously there have been two conferences in the hands of Inspector of Education and John Doe Cobacho university professor José Belmonte Serrano.
In this seminar, and Family Reading have signed 60 parents and 22 teachers and it addresses strategies for reading motivation in children.
The theme chosen this year of 2009 was "Reading and Family."
The reason for choosing this topic has been following the PISA and PIRLS international reports that reflect a marked decline in Spain, reading comprehension and encourages public institutions and society as a whole, to make reading comprehension as a priority objective.
These preparatory workshops, held in ten municipalities of the Region of Murcia, serve as preparation for the conclusions to be exhibited at the Ninth Meeting of the Board of Education of the Region of Murcia, School Boards and Municipal Center, which will be held Cotillas Towers in next April 25, 2009.
