On Saturday, Vico Theatre had hosted the Tribute to Women Jumillano 2009, a distinction that this year has given Dolores Cutillas.
The ceremony was very emotional, especially the participation of many relatives and friends of the honoree that Dolores agreed that a woman has been very committed to everything he has done in his life, and especially his family: husband, children, siblings, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dolores Cutillas shared this award with all women of her generation and noting that "all we had a hard life for the moment that we lived."
Homage to Women Jumillano began with a performance by Grupo de Coros y Danzas de Jumilla, which led to a small conference by José Hernández García and Ana Loreto in which they talked about the significance of traditional songs and folklore, and farmers told, many appeal to the machismo and discrimination and degrading treatment for women.
The event was hosted by Carmen Olivares and had different interventions, including the senator's Matilde Fernandez, who was Minister of Social Services with Felipe Gonzalez.
Fernandez gave an overview of the achievements of women in the last century.
