Until 31 January this month, Jumilla welcomes the visit of a group of students from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
This visit forms part of studies carried out in the Master of Environmental Geology and geological resources, specializing in sedimentary basins and energy resources, under the direction of Professor Lorenzo Vilas, together with Professor J.
Martin Chivelet and collaboration of Francisco Coruña, as reported by the director of the Museum of Ethnography Cayetano Herrero.
Come to do field practices in the area of the Altiplano de Jumilla-Yecla, which is a good natural laboratory for the teaching of geology, both for its good Geodiversity as outcrops, visiting among other things: the Sierra Larga and Carche , the Hoya de la Sima, La Sierra de las Cabras, the diapir of bagpipes and Celia.
In the evenings, after work in the field, go to the local Municipal Museum Jerónimo Molina Ethnographic and Natural Sciences, for collecting and finalizing the data from daily work.
