Jumilla Mayor and Councilman Francisco Abellán José Luis Monreal Sports signed last January 21, a cooperation agreement between the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community and the Department of Sports for the 'construction of sports facilities in small population groups. "
This agreement, worth 50,000 euros repayable, is to enable the construction of an athletics track at the hamlet Jumillano the Fuente del Pino.
Francisco Abellán has stressed that this agreement is principally devoted to "promoting sports service districts that desagraciadamente are more neglected than the village."
The agreement has a termination of work until 31 December 2010.
Councilman Sports has noted that "we wanted to make sure the runway is completed this year 2009."
Jumilla has been one of the first municipalities that requested this assistance, which has now been granted "and although the parish where you are performing the action is the Fuente del Pino, on consideration of other districts of the municipality with no facilities this kind, "said Monreal.
The signing of these agreements took place during a ceremony held at the Palacio de Murcia Campuzano González attended by other mayors and councilors of the Region of Murcia.
