Several wineries of Jumilla wines featured in the popular and prestigious Penin Guide 2009, which includes the 1,290 best wines of Spain.
These wines have been rated 90 points or more and for that we have made 8,500 tastings, according to sources at Casa de la Ermita.
In this book are, for example, Casa de la Ermita Petit Verdot 2005, with 90 points, several wines made at Bodegas El Nido, as many of Bodegas Juan Gil, Bodegas Luzon two, several of Julia Roch e Hijos and one Bodegas Pedro Luis Martinez, another of Viña Campanero and a Vineyard and Winery Martínez Verdú.
All these wines have scored over 90 and they gave an account of its peculiarities in sight, smell and mouth.
The Penin Guide is considered the benchmark wines of our country and a benchmark wine which can be found more than 8,500 wines tasted, which translates into an increase of 400 wines over the past year.
The same applies to the wineries, have been 200 new employees and in total will be available up to 2,900 wineries and some 13,500 trademarks.
