Multipurpose building for groups and associations of Jumilla is becoming a reality.
Recently laid the first stone of the building which is located in the Plaza of the Alcohol, between Calle Juan XXIII Medical & Juan Martinez.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán, José Camarasa, secretary general of the Government Delegation in Murcia and Carlos Gonzalez, Ferrovial Agroman territorial delegate, company contracted for the work, as well as several council members, representatives of political parties and members Physically Handicapped Association of Jumilla (AMFIJU).
Jumilla mayor said, "is a project that we have a lot of hope", because since 1999 the socialist government team has always had as one of their main concerns at a site to locate all the associations so they could make Jumillano their work.
Francisco Abellán added that the building will house more than 24 associations of Jumilla, which so far do not have a local participation and meeting.
For his part, José Camarasa said in his speech, the money you will receive Jumilla, 4,353,000 euros, within the Municipal Action Plan is carried out by the Central Government in support of municipal activity and dynamism of life economic to hire unemployed.
"This means renewed hope to Jumilla and an injection of efforts to revive economic activity and alleviate the most unemployment."
The work of the Multipurpose building represents an investment of 2,200,000 euros, of which central government will contribute 405,000 euros.
The building is constructed in a year and occupy an area of 2,400 m has, according to the architect José Francisco Sánchez, four floors, basement and attic floor.
It located the cafeteria, the local radio station, a multipurpose hall and different modular rooms that will accommodate the required needs.
