Over one hundred people enjoyed a weekend in Jumilla, knowing the possibilities offered by the city, thanks to the Meeting of motorhomes that took place in the locality.
In total vehicles attended this 'kedada' in Jumilla.
Visitors came from places like Germany, Cordoba, Barcelona, Valencia and Murcia, among others.
The event was organized by 'Viva Caravaning' and has enjoyed the cooperation of the City of Jumilla, through the Department of Citizen Participation.
On this activity, this area Councilman Ildefonso Jimenez said that "it is the first time that takes place in Jumilla a concentration of such vehicles and that the aim is that this time, know the city, its wealth, its heritage, its products, its wineries and all that it offers the Jumilla Wine Route. "
Jiménez added that "there is also the intention, starting next year, to study the possibility of establishing an area of Jumilla rest for these campers, so would ensure that the city is a meeting point for this type of tourism that consider very interesting, quality and family. "
The rest area would have a capacity for four or five vehicles with a maximum dwell time of 48 hours and conditioned with everything you need for parking and safety of these campers.
If you set this area off, Jumilla enter into the pathway of this type of tourism, whose association publishes a magazine in countries like Germany and France which is widespread these activities.
The visitors were received in Santa Ana by the First Deputy Mayor Jesus Sanchez and conducted various activities in the city, including a visit to the winery Villa Omblancas.
