Jumilla Francisco Mayor Councillor Abellán and Social Policy Mariana Gomez attended recently at a ceremony for the certification information of the grant for the Care Plan and Integration of Immigrants 2008.
This support having an amount of 197,000 euros and is intended to actions that are being made in Jumilla within that program.
This money comes from the Ministry of Labour and Immigration and the Ministry of Social Policy in the Region of Murcia.
This figure is in addition the amount of 70,000 euros provided by the City of Jumilla.
Mariana Gómez noted in this connection that "this money should have already received, since the performances of this program have been made since last March."
The councilman of Social Policy added that "after this symbolic act of delivery, we expect that money to be effective as soon as possible to continue this program without further 'forcing' the municipal coffers."
Within the Care Plan and Integration of Immigrants 2008 have carried out actions such as hiring all the engineers of this program, it is assumed the office hire immigrants, has participated in summer playgrounds, urgently needed aid, scholarships school agreements with child care, school activities and literacy training, among others, and "all this has been taking with municipal funds," said Mariana Gomez.
The award ceremony took place in the hall of the City of Molina del Segura and was attended by the Minister of Social Policy Joaquín Bascuñana and representatives of most municipalities in the Region of Murcia.
