COAG Jumilla starts in an orchard that will produce 3 megawatts solar (30/10/2008)

Coag The farmers union has launched a new park at Jumilla solar will produce 3 megawatts of power.

This facility was opened recently and the event was attended by various authorities, including the Mayor of Jumilla, Francisco Abellán Martínez, and the president of COAG Murcia, Lencina Pedro Lozano, who served as hosts, the director of the IDEA ( Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving of Energy), Ministry of Industry Enrique Jiménez Larrea and the Minister of Universities, Business and Research Salvador Marin Hernandez.

This is the first solar plant developed and promoted by the Professional Land COAG.

It's called "solar fields" and covers an area of 10 hectares.

Has a strong social, is located on the site Azuara House of Jumilla, boasts a capacity of three megawatts and is owned by 112 partners, all residents of the region, farmers mostly.

The 10,000 square meters are distributed in 112 different power plants.

Its design has taken into account the maximum use of daylight hours and radiation.

This solar plant will improve the supply of electricity in the area and generate 4.8 million kilowatt hours per year.

In addition, it allows the entry of at least 2,160,000 million euros a year in this agricultural area.

This new solar park shows that Jumilla is located in the region as a benchmark in terms of clean energy production.

The sun and the wind put Jumilla in a kind of new lung in the Region of Murcia and a pioneer town in maximizing their natural resources to produce energy on a large scale.

Not surprisingly, Jumilla is home to one of the biggest solar parks in Europe with a production of 20 MW, with four plants and six wind farms operating at full capacity to produce a total of 141.3 MW.

In addition, there is currently a project to produce 50 MW thermal.

The wind companies have invested approximately 695 million euros, while solar has invested 245 million euros.

Similarly the Region of Murcia is the national head, with 275 megawatts of photovoltaic solar energy production to supply to 110,000 homes
