Last Saturday was inaugurated in Jumilla, Ethnographic Museum, the exhibition 'Painters Solidarity with Paraguay. "
In the opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán, Culture Councilwoman Joan Guardiola, Miguel Olmos, curator of that exhibition and Mari Carmen Hidalgo, Secretary of the UNESCO Centre of the Region of Murcia.
The exhibition will run until November 6 and can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday from 18:00 to 20:00 and on Sundays and holidays from 11:00 to 14:00.
Both Juan Francisco Abellán as Guardiola were pleased to host this show in Jumilla and said, "We expect to be visited and be liked by everyone."
For its part, Mari Carmen Hidalgo, explained that 12 years is traveling to Paraguay as a volunteer and stressed "the importance of bilingual education in that country and, therefore, be thought of raising money by selling these pictures ".
'Solidarity with Paraguay Painters' is an exhibition that has toured various cities in the region of Murcia.
Be participating in numerous artists and purpose of it is, as indicated by the councilman of Culture Joan Guardiola, "that the proceeds from the sale of the pictures are intended for a project to build cooperative schools in Paraguay."
This exhibition was sponsored by the UNESCO Centre of the Region of Murcia and the Union of Cooperative Education in the region.
They also assist other agencies and institutions.
