On Friday, it closed in the auditorium of the City of Jumilla the course of the Universidad del Mar has been provided in the city and in which 34 people participated.

At the closing attended by the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán, Culture Councilwoman Joan Guardiola, Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the UMU Guillermo Diaz and director and secretary thereof, José Miguel García, Emiliano Hernández, respectively.
All these made a very positive assessment of this activity.
Francisco Abellán congratulated the participants and the university for "this type of courses that involve training for young persons, in addition to what is taught in the classroom."
Jumilla Mayor was proud to be one of the municipalities that host these courses and launched the offer at the University of Murcia for next time.
For its part, the Vice Chancellor of the UMU spoke of the various initiatives being undertaken this institution, such as the International University of the Sea, "which this year celebrates 25 years.
This year, municipalities have sought to share with us the goal that the university can provide and improve quality of life of citizens, as well as training and education is a must for all. "
Guillermo Diaz also thanked for their participation to teachers, institutions like the municipality of Jumilla and students "are the focus of our work."
The students received a diploma from this course which aims have been examining the historiography on the Archaeology of Death in the Iberian culture, "separating the current trends of research in this area."
The course has given various lectures, talks and discussions and have made a series of visits to the Archaeological Museum of Jumilla, Murcia Archaeological Museum and the archaeological site of Coimbra del Barranco Ancho.
