The Vice Mayor and Councilman of Industry Jesus Sanchez has appeared at a press conference to communicate the licensing of a new wind farm in the Sierra de las Cabras Jumilla.
Sanchez has reportedly already been approved by the Directorate General of Industry of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, of the proposed implementation of wind farm "Las Cabras", located in the Sierra de las Cabras in municipality.
This project has all the favorable reports and authorizations by the competent administrative authorities.
The wind farm will have 26 turbines, each will have a unit capacity of 0.850 megawatts, with a total capacity of 22.1 megawatts, the generators will be brand Gamesa G58 and steel tower a height of 55 meters.
The owner of this park is Renewable Energy in the Region of Murcia, which has made more wind farms in the town of Jumilla.
The works are scheduled to begin in the next three months and the project implementation period is 12 months.
This initial project had to be revised following a number of environmental and archaeological constraints, another change has occurred for the respect of access roads that could damage the area environmentally.

The municipality of Jumilla has requested to provide for these requirements make the project viable.
Industry Councilman stated that "during the second half of 2007 and the first quarter of 2008 was made the appropriate authorizations from the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and the Segura basin, and already these authorizations have been favorable for the implementation of that project. "
For this project we have done all the administrative and technical requirements laid down in Chapter 5 of Title VII of Royal Decree 1955/2000.
The responsibility of Industry said that "Jumilla is the main town in the Murcia region of generating this type of power favorable to the environment and sustainable development."
Furthermore, these wind farms are going to require revenue to the town of Jumilla over the term of this agreement.
Specifically in this wind farm in the Sierra de las Cabras, the 22.1 megawatt generated, would enter megawatt 4,500 euros per year with a total of 99,450 euros per year, with the agreement of 25 years.
