Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán held this morning a meeting with the Minister of Public Works Jose Ballesta and director of the Institute for Housing and Land Juana Brown.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various issues, one of them under the road from The Carche.
José Ballesta Abellán is committed to the project under this road shall be completed in 2009.
For his part, Mayor of Jumilla is committed to include those affected by this work, which are adjacent landowners, to discuss the possible transfer of land required for expansion and renovation of this road.
The maximum local authority has stated that "this road is a priority of local government, since it is a road that is in very poor condition and in which there have been accidents with dead people."
In this meeting, also touched on the possible sale of the four sites available to the City for the construction of social housing and accommodation for young people.
In this sense, regional policy makers said the mayor soon will publish a line of support for individual councils submitting bids of soil and analyzed the possibility of carrying out these constructions.
