It's called "Clean Up the World.
Clean Up the World 'and is an international environmental campaign, conducted in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), in which more than 40 million people since 1993.
The aim of this campaign is to encourage local efforts as key to improving the environment and promotes joint action of citizens (businesses, associations, school communities, etc).
'Clean Up the World' is an initiative open to all citizens who wish to participate in improving the natural environment.
This campaign will take place on Saturday September 20, 2008, between 10:00 and 14:00 hours.
The area where it will perform the cleanup is in the Charco del Zorro.
The City will provide participants a bus will leave at 9:30 from the bus station and cleaning equipment for waste collection, shirts, hats and a snack.
Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.
To participate in this campaign, the application should be made before the 15th of September 2008 at the Department of Environment of the City Council or by sending an email to: medioambiente@jumilla.org, with the following information: name, age, telephone number and email.
