The Official State Bulletin (BOE) of 1 September published the resolution of the Directorate General of Highways Ministry of Development, which was provisionally approved and submitted to Public Information, the planned route of the motorway A-33 section: N-344 link to link with C Jumilla-Yecla-3223.
The estimated investment budget for the proposed section is 72.56 million euros.
That document can be examined in the offices of the State Highway Demarcation on Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio, 6.
Murcia and in the municipalities of Jumilla and Yecla.
In addition Jumilla is located in luck because it has been awarded a new section of the Highlands Highway, section between the A-31 (Alicante-Madrid) at the height of Caudete and A-35 Font de la Figuera.
This award of the new section is added to the sections already built, from the A-30 (Murcia-Madrid) to the vicinity of Jumilla.
Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán has expressed his satisfaction at this news, "as the Central Government is delivering on schedule and with the goal of having finished the Altiplano to Jumilla highway in 2010."
From that moment Jumilla will be located on the first line of communications, allowing travel to Murcia in less time and better conditions.
Abellán welcomes this situation "because in all the years of democracy, no government has made a commitment as strong investment in this county as it is doing the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero."
