Jumilla City Council has signed an agreement with the Association of Physically Handicapped Jumilla (AMFIJU) for a total of 8,500 euros by the end of the year.
The objective is to finance the Home Help Program in parishes and Transport Programme for People with mobility limitations.
At the signing of the agreement was attended by the mayor, Francisco Abellán, the councilman of Social Policy, Mariana Gómez, President of the association Mira Juan Gil and María Vicente, Social Worker Amfiju and Pedro Antonio García, administration of this group .
Francisco Abellán said "the existing collaboration with AMFIJU, as the management of public funds and resources should be performed with groups like this, so that we serve each other with the information available to each party."
For his part Juan Gil said in his speech that the purpose of such agreements is to "try that with few resources to do many things."
He added that with these services is to "the full integration and addressing the needs of people that claim."
Mariana Gomez said that "these services are part of social commitment that marked the government team."
As for the Home Help Program in the districts, funded by local government with 4,000 euros, is to be carried out for 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 1:00 noon.
In this regard, Mariana Gomez said, "This service must be requested at the Center for Social Services by the Social Worker responsible for parishes."
The councilman added that "already have several requests from residents of the hamlets."
To successfully complete this program, AMFIJU is committed to the agreement to hiring a home help assistant who will be responsible for developing this work.
About Transportation Program for Persons with mobility limitations, the council provides 4,500 euros, in addition to making available of the association who donated CajaMurcia vehicle adapted to carry out this service.
Will take place from Monday to Friday, in morning, with a maximum of fifteen hours per week.
