On Tuesday inaugurated a monument dedicated to the National Folklore Festival 'City of Jumilla. "
This is a sculpture composed of two monoliths and two dancing figures Jumillano, found a foot of soil and fully integrated into the environment.
Located in the garden of the Square, a place that traditionally served as a stage for the sessions of the festival.
The sculpture is the work of Bartolomé Jumillano Medina said, "are figures of people and the people also involved in this monument, with the simple act of sitting next to him."
The opening ceremony was attended by various local authorities including the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán, and the chairman of the Territorial Council of Caja del Mediterráneo, CAM (collaborating institution), Angel Martinez, deputy director of the National Folk Festival María Plá and the author of this work.

The monument has had a cost of 35,000 euros, of which 30,000 are borne by the municipality of Jumilla, 3,000 CAM and the rest of the festival organization.
