On Tuesday they met in Jumilla New Technologies Councilman Hall Jesus Sanchez and the secretary of Audiovisual and Digital Content in the Autonomous Community Jose Maria Salinas.
The purpose of this meeting was to begin working towards the implementation of Digital Power Plan, approved by the Governing Council on 4 July.
"In this paper, the autonomous region, in coordination with the Ministry, is collaborating with the town of Jumilla in carrying out the transition from analogue to digital television," said Salinas.
On June 30, 2009 is the date on which the analog switch will occur in Jumilla and 17 municipalities in Murcia that make the transition project Carrascoy.
Audiovisual secretary explained that households currently have an analog TV will need a decoder, which costs approximately 20 euros, to receive digital terrestrial television.
Another objective of the visit was to discuss the conditions under which the TV is in Jumilla.
In this sense, Jesus Sanchez said that "in some places it looks better than others, although it is true that in recent weeks there have been problems with the reception of the Four, and the First and Second."
In this regard the council has indicated that "the council has already related complaints and are awaiting response."
On the visit, Sanchez said he has been a "first contact, I appreciate the cooperation and coordination of the Autonomous Region with the City to fulfill the goals."
The analogue switch that will occur in Jumilla on June 30, 2009 will affect 100% of the families, about 9,000 homes.
In Spain, the final blackout is scheduled for April 3, 2010.
