More than a year since the launching of the Youth Housing Office, the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán, Councilman Jose Luis Monreal Youth and technical Adela Navarro, have made a positive assessment of this service.
Abellán said: "This is a very important issue, being a necessary and basic for anyone."
For his part, Councillor for Youth said the aim of this service is to "provide young people access to quality housing and dignified."
Since then there have been a total of 517 consultations, of which 64% were referred to house purchase, 34% for rental and the remaining 2% general information.
The consultations, said the technician, are mostly on public aid, housing finance, mortgages, conditions, calculation of fees and expenses associated (deeds, taxes, etc).
The profile of those who require information, 61% are women and 39% men.
In age group, 31% are between 18 and 24 years, 40% between 25 and 30 and the remaining 29% over 30 years.
Of these, 77% are workers, 22% and 1% unemployed students.
In terms of origin, 84% of those seeking information are Spanish and 16% of other nationalities.
Thus, the average profile could be a woman, aged between 25 and 30 years, working and Spanish.
In the Youth Housing Office also reports on existing aid for the purchase or rental of housing.
This service is included in the Youth Empowerment Program and is located in the Youth Center Jumilla Report.
