On Monday I closed the Training Workshop Sitting Dependents, organized by the Department of Social Policy, in collaboration with Red Cross, under the agreement signed between both institutions.
Attended by 45 people, men and women, all caregivers of dependent people, who expressed great interest in this type of initiative and proposed to the council responsible for the possibility of conducting workshops with the same type but more comprehensive, "in which to work in more detail all that has to do with the care of dependents, "according to the mayor of Social Policy, Mariana Gomez.
Gomez thanked the audience participation and your interest in this type of activity, "which also demonstrates the interest in providing quality care to dependent people."
This first workshop began as a pilot project to assess the acceptance by caregivers of these initiatives, a pioneer in the region and explore the possibility of conducting more extensive workshops and training tailored to the needs and support these caregivers demand.
The Department of Social Policy intends to maintain this type of action.
Mariana Gómez encouraged participants to partner and promote self-help and educational activities as an association, and for this the council offered to provide the necessary support for both its formation and its operation.
Since this area is proposed to hold another such workshop in October, as well as a workshop in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Policy and the Caixa Foundation in late October and November.
