He attended the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, the president of the Jumilla Wine Route, Sebastián García, as well as several representatives of the partners of the Wine Route and technical specialists in tourism.
"The new tools we have available are dynamic, innovative and will enable all our partners promote their activities. It will be very interesting to publicize further the Jumilla Wine Route" he stressed the mayor.
The operation of tourism marketing platform 'Hermes' and applications allow multiply the visibility of wine product webs.
The 'Hermes' program, which includes a 'channel manager' hotels, 'Harp', and the content manager for tourism companies 'Orion' are free for business and was designed by the same application.
Until 31 December 2015, 'Harp' has managed more than 11,400 bookings.
The general director of the Institute of Tourism, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, said in reference to this action plan aims to position and enhance the competitiveness of the Wine Routes of the Region of Murcia.
He said that "wine tourism is a holiday mode booming and is considered strategic for its ability to stimulate local economies, reduce seasonality and to value the historical, natural and cultural heritage of the areas in which it develops."
For his part, Juan Guardiola has stated that it is pleased that the director general of Tourism recognizes the potential of wine tourism "The Wine Route is more than only wine, it goes much further and reaches all attractions we have in the city. therefore, I thank the Ministry of Tourism also see because there have been many efforts had to be made to be recognized as well.
