The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the Councillor for Agriculture, Juan Gil, have held a meeting with the general director of Quality and Environmental Assessment, Encarnacion Molina, to treat different issues on the treatment of both inert waste as organic.
Jumilla City Council at the time made various complaints to the Regional Waste Management Plan, which is currently being processed in strategic environmental assessment, and requested the meeting to discuss the details of the same.
the current situation of the municipality said regarding the landfill and treatment plant, analyzing the different possibilities for Jumilla.
They also raised various actions that could be made with European funds or through the Autonomous Community.
Mayor and Councillor also conveyed the need to implement what at the time was the Waste Treatment Plant Construction and Demolition.
For its part, the Director General proposed to Jumilla pursue a separate biowaste collection pilot project, which will be studied by the City of Jumilla for its realization.
"We asked financial support to get it going once it occurs, with willingness on their part," said Juan Gil.
