The first month of 2016 ended with a decline in the unemployment figures in Jumilla for men, but a promotion for women.
Changes from the previous month are minimal, descending in 3 the number of men and 33 ascending in the number of women unemployed, so the total number of unemployed is jumillanos 30 people higher than in December, now it is 2,688.
In annual terms it represents a decrease of 365 persons compared to the same month last year.
By academic levels the bulk of unemployment remains focused on the levels of general education (primary and secondary), being much less significant in vocational education and especially in the higher vocational training.
By age, Jumilla still relatively low youth unemployment, only 11% (remains) of the total unemployed, with the largest group between 25 to 44 years with 46% (down 1%), of the unemployed and 43% of the group over 45 years.
By economic sector increased by 1% unemployed in the services sector, standing at 44% and still the sector with a higher unemployment rate.
It is also where the bulk of female unemployment is concentrated.
Agriculture, with 25%, has fallen by one percentage point.
The construction sector (9%) and industry (10%) are maintained.
