Friday morning the exhibition is inaugurated Fossil Cephalopods in the multipurpose room of the section of Ethnography and Natural Science Museum Jerónimo Molina.
It is a collection of Sebastián Martínez, collaborator of the museum and prize SOCIUM it.
The exhibition will be open until February 7, Tuesday to Saturday (10-14 and 17-20 hours) and Sunday (11-14 hours).
Cephalopods are invertebrates, among which are the largest on earth.
Of the larger fossils that can be seen in the exhibition are the ammonites and the nautilus, which could be classified as unique specimens, because of its rarity and size.
The oldest belonging to the Middle Ordovician with a length of 450 million years and the latest Late Cretaceous with an age of 90 million years.
The exhibition exposed 88 copies, distributed in 11 showcases.
The specimens presented here come from the five continents, in areas such as Madagascar, Indonesia, Peru, United States, Morocco, Nigeria, Germany, France, England or Spain.
In the Iberian Peninsula there will be copies of Granada, Castellon, Sevilla, Teruel and even many parts of the Region of Murcia as Fortuna and Moratalla.
