Jumilla City Council continues to work on the preparation of a strategy in order to achieve ERDF for the development of the city.
To do this, it is in the final preparation of the Strategic Sustainable Integrated (DUSI Strategies) Urban Development Plan.
They are meeting with all the associations and groups, and are visiting all areas of the municipality in order to find the most suitable plan.
Among these visits, the districts have had an important role, visiting one by one with the presence of the mayor, Juan Guardiola and different local government councilors.
In the Fuente del Pino, residents have come to the conclusion that tourism is strong given the beauty of its landscapes and roads.
The development goes, no doubt, for the enhancement of its great heritage and the arrangement of basic infrastructure, in particular by giving the people of a road that connects the two parts, thus eliminating the risk currently faced by the continuous passage of traffic.
At the farm they have a priority to provide the hamlet of private space for collective use and holding social events.
They have a significant agricultural and livestock activities and have great tourist potential due to deposits nearby.
They face depopulation due to lack of transport.
Others, like Torre del Rico or Canada del Trigo also point rural tourism as one of its values ​​to highlight.
For its part, La Estacada is defined as a green lung in the city, given its wealth of splendid gardens and its botanical garden.
