CaixaBank office in Jumilla, through Obra Social "La Caixa" has granted several donations totaling 6,500 euros two non-profit organizations in the locality.
The beneficiary institutions are Caritas, through its program Ludoteca Lady of Fatima, and Adahi Jumila.
Both are dedicated to helping the needy sectors of the population most at risk of social exclusion.
This morning have been symbolically delivered quantities in the presence of the Mayor of Jumilla, Juan Guardiola, and Maria Poveda, representing CaixaBank Jumilla.
The mayor has been very pleased with the support received from the Social Work 'La Caixa'y encouraged them to continue working in the future with the various associations of the town.
Maria Poveda has highlighted the commitment of La Caixa to society, remembering that has mantiendo the amount of social work in the past seven years.
Meanwhile, Irene Crespo, secetaria and treasurer of Caritas Jumilla, has stated the importance to their collective receive such aid, fudamentales different programs to get ahead.
Conchi Garcia Adahi treasurer, thanked the cooperation and noted that they will allocate the amount received for the purchase of different hardware needed for therapies.
In 2015, under the chairmanship of Isidro Fainé and the general direction of Jaume Giro, the Banking Foundation "La Caixa" has maintained its Social Projects budget at 500 million euros.
This provision places the company as the first private foundation in Spain and one of the largest in the world.
The development of targeted social programs in the major current challenges such as unemployment, the fight against exclusion or access to housing concentrates the bulk of investment.
