United Left-Greens propose in the next municipal plenary review of the register of immovable property registered in Jumilla on behalf of religious denominations, and their entities and related associations in order to check whether it conforms to reality.
They explained that the intention of the Municipal Group IU-Green is to include religious groups of any kind to pay their taxes.
They add that this does not affect other social institutions run by religious congregations purposes and can be supplemented with aid to these associations for social purposes, but not religious.
Among the measures proposed to adopt IU-Greens are reviewing the agreement with the Holy See on economic affairs and analysis of all required tax benefits in local taxes.
Indicate that many of these agreements are not reviewed for more than two decades ago, so they are probably outdated.
To United Left exemptions must comply with the legally established cases and prevent these are applied indiscriminately, so that religious faiths, and especially the Catholic Church, pay property tax for apartments and other properties not related to the cult.
Declaring they consider unjustifiable end the municipality of Jumilla longer legally enter taxes should be charging.
They argue that everyone contribute with our taxes, which should include, in their view, religious denominations.
