On Friday 13 concluded the First Day of awareness for development Jumilla Manos Unidas has carried out in the classroom culture of Caja Murcia Foundation since last October 30, opened by the Delegate in the Region of Murcia Manos Unidas Marta Martinez.
The event has enjoyed the exhibition "Dreaming the future" and three round tables.
Parallel Jumillano Association of Friends of Music on Sunday 8th offered a concert in aid of a project that develops NGO in Angola and the proceeds amounted to two thousand euros.
About a thousand of visitors has seen the exhibition, including students of different schools in Jumilla, Confirmation young students and the general public.
"Dreaming the future. Manos Unidas and Children" is vuna selection of 32 images that reflect the situation of helplessness that many children live in Third World countries.
The photographs collected three main themes: the reality of education and health in underdeveloped areas of the world, and the situation of abuse and exploitation that many children suffer from them.
The exhibition also reviewing examples of improvement in which, with the support of Manos Unidas, have improved the lives of many children: comprehensive health care programs, models of sustainable self-development, school construction, etc.
Aiming to raise awareness of the precarious environment in which millions of children live on the planet, the 32 images were taken in Angola, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, Honduras , India, Kenya, Madagascar and Sierra Leone.
Besides the exhibition, there have been three round tables in order to inform society Jumillano reality of the South, and on all occasions managed to fill the auditorium of Caja Murcia.
The first one ("Get out of our walls") attended Diocesan Missions Delegate, José Luis Bledsoe;
