On Tuesday the Minister of Education, Maria Isabel Sanchez Mora, met at the headquarters of the Popular Party of Jumilla, with the Director and representatives of the AMPA CEIP Prince Philip, in order to inform them of the progress of the construction of the new center.
In the regional budget there already appropriated a game of 1,800,000 euros for the first year of construction of the new center, acquired in the last legislature by the then counselor and today, President of the Autonomous Community commitment.
The process began in December 2012 when the City of Jumilla made available to the Ministry the necessary land, annexed to the current nursery school.
After that, in January 2015, when it officially communicated that were about 3,300,000 euros of European funds for its construction, the City Council cleared the land and started to prepare the future work of Iberdrola underground line media voltage crossing thereof.
Procedure paralyzed by the current government, which has caused last October, the Popular Party submit a motion demanding that the Socialist government to proceed immediately to the burial.
The Minister met with the Popular Party and also with representatives of the school, to inform them of the procedures followed to date.
Mora Sánchez subsequently appeared at a press conference, together with the local president, Enrique Jimenez, in order to assess these developments.
