A group of parents with children who have learning difficulties related directly or indirectly with dyslexia has teamed up with the purpose of becoming association.
As a first step they have organized a conference on the issue that was presented yesterday in the council room of the City of Jumilla by the Councillor for Education, Cande Fernandez, and by a representative group of parents, Pasquale Ana Perez.
The talk, titled 'My son, my student, could have dyslexia?', Will take place on November 25 at 20.00 at the Roque Baños Cultural Center having as speakers psychologist, author and school counselor, Concepcion Martinez, and the president and psychologist Dyslexia Association of Yecla, Victoria Soriano and Mari Carmen Brown.
Pasquale Ana Perez explained some details of dyslexia, as well as the objectives of the future partnership, passing to inform relatives, disseminate the latest research, explain to society the problems caused by dyslexia, sensitize teachers and help find resource.
Meanwhile, Cande Fernandez, was made available to assist as needed as Councillor for Education with the aim of the association may become a reality soon.
