The Municipal Group IU-Green has filed a motion to ask the responsible body of the Ministry of Finance review of the assessed values in the municipality of Jumilla.
They explain that assessed values must be updated every ten years, but there is the possibility of claiming a change because the values have fallen sharply and are not adjusted to reality.
They indicate that due to the housing crisis, there are areas of the town you pay tax receipts and immovable property (IBI) much higher than the actual values.
The suburbs, the northern part of the town and some areas of the center are priced lower than the assessed value brand, so if reviewing the tax amount in these homes is carried out will be significantly reduced.
This proposal of IU-Greens and was treated in 2012, but the absolute majority of the Popular Party rejected this measure.
From the Municipal Group now they expect this proposal can be made, as they term unfair situation in which many houses and humble homes are paying taxes that do not conform to reality and are excessive in many cases.
They point out that as the receipt gradually rises each year until it conducted the review of values, IU-Greens studying an amendment to the ordinance to prevent a further rise in the amount of the receipt of IBI.
Rating hypocritical posture of the Popular Party to file a day after the motion of IU-Green other than to start urgently modification IBI, being familiar with this case and that of other tax ordinance will be discussed throughout of this month.
Furthermore, when the PP ruled prevented review assessed values and the subsequent drop after review, so now when they ask for a reduction they are not made ridiculous and sad shows clearly the policy of the Popular Party in the City of Jumilla .
