The mayor of Jumilla, Juan Guardiola, inaugurated last night exposure tenth anniversary of the building of the Council Archaeological Museum.
The exhibition consists of eight panels that tell the history of the building and the collection on display, it will be open until the 27th of November in the audiovisual room in the Museum's regular schedule: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 14 and 17 to 20 hours and on Sundays from 11-14 hours.
In the inauguration also they involved the Councillor for Culture, Pilar Martinez and the director of the archeology section of the Municipal Museum Jerónimo Molina, Emiliano Hernandez.
Next, the architect of the reform carried out both in the building of the Council and the Plaza de Arriba, Fernando de Retes, gave a lecture in the chapel of San José, in which he recalled how the works were developed and explained why which it did so at all times referring to his influences of Chillida.
The archeology section Jerónimo Molina Museum has a permanent exhibition composed of 524 pieces dating from the Paleolithic to the Christian Middle Ages.
The current museum project, which celebrated the tenth anniversary, was launched by archaeologists Emiliano Hernández and José Miguel García Cano, as well as Fernando de Retes.
