The mayor of Jumilla, Juan Guardiola, was present Saturday at the eleventh plenary session of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in Madrid.
The same was elected new president of this organization a socialist, Abel Caballero, Mayor of Vigo.
The PSOE has garnered a total of 15,154 of the 25,736 supporters cast, undergoing voting lists of the PP and PSOE.
The Socialist has been the most voted achieving support of almost 60% of the whole.
The other nominations submitted by the PP and which has joined the PAR and UPN Forum has obtained a total of 10,291 votes.
As the second most voted list, will occupy 11 seats in the Governing Board: among them, the first mate, to be occupied by the outgoing President of the FEMP, Inigo de la Serna.De the 14 seats are there in the list most votes in the Board of Governors of the FEMP, the PSOE on this occasion has given two spaces: the vice second, it deserves to be the first list, IU and vocalía to CDC.
Among the projects highlighted Abel Caballero forward asking to repeal the law of sustainability and rationalization of municipalities or remove the ceiling of expenditure on local authorities, may use the remaining for social uses.
