The mayor of Jumilla, Enrique Jimenez, and the first deputy mayor, Alicia Abellan, visited this week the work being done in the way of raiser Castle, one of the most outstanding projects submitted by the city to aid Leader Approach, in which they will invest about 100,000 euros for the conditioning of the area.
As indicated by the mayor, works are progressing, and that must be completed before June 30.
At the moment, it's almost finished building the tourist information point for which has been rebuilt a house owned by the municipality, with an investment of 49,000 euros.
Likewise, the proposed change and rehabilitation of the road from the Castillo de Jumilla climber moves on environment.
The project with a budget of almost 49,000 euros, includes the rehabilitation and upgrading of the area, clearing vegetation, and improving access.
It has also defined the way up, with over 500 meters of rope railing, and is improving the lighting section in full.
As highlighted Enrique Jimenez, "this performance will be an important step not only in the face of urban regeneration in this part of town, but also thinking about the tourism potential of Jumilla. We must remain committed to enhance the historical heritage of the city, and in this sense the Castle is an important part that must be promoted, starting with the climber and its surroundings ".
Among this week and next week they will be completed the two projects, which are already finalizing details.
Among the latest actions to complete, it is planned to incorporate eight posters with historical information about the Marquis de Villena, with various historical and infographics on Castillo de Jumilla reviews.
