Jumilla will host this coming July, one of the Summer Courses 2015 at the University of Murcia, International University of the Sea, which will be dedicated to the "Religiosity in the Iberian culture," and that will take place between 6 and July 9 in the Ermita de San José.
Among the objectives of the course will be announced the importance of religion in the Iberian culture based on their places of worship, studying both shrines and other holy places.
The course will be led by academic Jose Miguel Garcia Cano and Emiliano Hernández Carrión and a total duration of 60 hours.
Shrines Iberian, the current state of research, or the sanctuaries of Coimbra del Barranco Ancho in Jumilla, Murcia Light, Los Nietos in Cartagena or the Cerro de los Santos in Montealegre, will be among the topics of study during the course , to be completed with a visit to several museums of outstanding importance, as will the Cigarralejo in Mula, the Municipal Museum Jerónimo Molina de Jumilla, besides the Iberians of Coimbra del Barranco Ancho in Jumilla.
Among those who attended the course will share their knowledge with those registered, will be the Director of the Museum of Iberian Art Cigarralejo, the Director of the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Caravaca de la Cruz, the Director of the Municipal Archaeological Museum Jerome Molina de Jumilla, or the Professor of Ancient History at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Adolfo Dominguez Wallet, among other scholars of outstanding career.
